Sports Event

On Monday 16th May all children attending Naxxar Primary participated in a sports event held at the Basketball Pavillion at Ta’ Qali. Some children took part in sport activities while other went for a walk. At the end of the event there were races and games for teachers and parents. It was a success and a fun activity for everyone.

Kidsfest was held at Naxxar Primary. This year’s kidsfest was filled with fun activities for both the children as well as the parents such as face painting, a bouncing castle, pony rides and so much more.  There were also food stands, filled with mouth watering food.  Those who attended the kidsfest were also able to purchase small gifts as well as plants and strawberries.The parents, in their great majority, participated in this activity.  The kindergarten pupils as well as all the primary classes took part.  This certainly turned out to be a most enjoyable day for everyone involved.

We can’t believe it’s Science

Maria Regina College organised the activity ‘We can’t believe it’s Science”. This was hosted at St. Paul’s Bay Primary. Children from all the schools within Maria Regina College visited the event, and some of them prepared stands with different experiments and information. The event was launched by Director General Profs. Grace Grima and College Principal Mario Testa.

Visits by President Abela at Maria Regina College

President of Malta George Abela visited Gharghur Primary, Naxxar Primary, and Naxxar Boys Secondary as part of his visit around schools within Maria Regina College. Special activities were prepared to welcome the Maltese President. The others schools within the college will be visited by the President during the next term.

Sports Day

Sports Day was held at Maria Regina College St. Paul’s Bay Primary. Children had different games and exercises to do. Parents were also invited for this event and at the end of the activities they also had a race! All children were given a memento by the School Council to remember this year’s sports day.

Futsal Festival

During the month of February the Malta Football Association in collaboration with the Kunsill Malti għall-Isports organised a futsal festival for the schools of Maria Regina College.  Mosta, Mellieħa, Naxxar and St. Paul’s Bay participated in this tournament.  The results were as follows:

SPB – Mosta B   5 – 7, Mellieħa – SPB  4 – 6, Mellieħa – Mosta  3 – 2, Mellieħa – Naxxar  0 – 4, Naxxar – Mosta B   2 – 2, Mellieħa – Naxxar   4 – 7, Naxxar – Mosta B  3 – 4, SPB – Naxxar  2 – 8, SPB – Mosta B   1 – 4, Mellieħa – SPB   1 – 5

During the Final Phase the most promising players from each of the participating schools were chosen to represent Maria Regina College. During Phase 3 of the Futsal Festival, all colleges are to play against each other during the final phase.
